Become a pilot. Become a leader.
Thinking of joining Air Cadets?
To learn. To serve. To advance.
That is the motto of the Air Cadet program. We seek to provide today's youth with the opportunities to learn what it takes to become a good leader, to serve the community, and to advance as a member of society.
Recruitment is closed until January.
We host an Open House in September each year. Please look at our calendar for the exact date.
Cadets must be between 12 and 18 years old on the day they begin training. To join, come to the Administration Office (in the basement of the Southwood Community Association building) between 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm on regular parade nights (typically Tuesday - see the Calendar for more details).
Anyone wishing to join will need to bring:
A provincial health care card
Government issued proof of age (birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card, etc)
You will be provided with an application package which contains a number of forms that must be filled out before training can begin. Application packages can be picked up and filled out prior to the next intake date!
There is no cost to join the program, but parents and cadets are expected to participate in fundraising activities.
